Ok, I know how everyone hates rules but every good site needs them!

Rules:

1. I am asking that you not post profiles until they are completely finished. This is for my own sanities sake. I don’t like having to come back to a thread fifty times to see if you’ve finished your profile. It just makes my job harder. If you’re not on your computer while writing a profile and have to stop without saving do what I do, PM or email it to yourself. This will make my life easier and keep you from losing important profile bits.

1b. No stealing others characters. If you see that someone is being a hyperactive artist, or a super pregnant dogy very *friendly* person, don’t create a character to try and “top that”. It’s annoying. We can’t copyright character archetypes, but no one will want to RP with you if you’re just a loser poser stealing someone else’s ideas.

2. When creating a character you may not kill of both of your parents.
I am beyond, beyond, beyond, beyond sick of this clichéd way of getting attention or giving your characters angst. I don't think there is a school in the entire world with every child is completely emancipated or grieving for the loss of a parent (unless it’s an orphanage in RUSSIA). Sheesh, while we can call agree that realistically there are few happy nuclear families anymore; we should also be able to agree that a messy divorce is more feasible than say a parent dying in childbirth and the father subsequently beating and or raping the aforementioned child. Come on people!
Original Character Application PW: paige. I know you’re all better than that.This rule however does not apply to children that have been adopted into loving homes. I can understand the death of a parent then. However, it better be a loving happy home because I hate predated DRAMA. It’s easy to rely on that to give your character ‘Depth’, lets try something new.

3. DO NOT POST ANYWHERE BUT THE APPLICATION BOARD UNTIL YOUR CHARACTER HAS BEEN ACCEPTED. This means each character. Even if you've already been accepted as another character, you cannot post as your new character till I've read the profile and sorted you. The breaking of this rule will result in deletion and banning of the account. You can post in the Celeb claim and things that ties iin with your registering but that will be all I tolerate.

4. On other sites I've had a characters limit and that is the same here. I would like you to only have 3 character per account. Cannon Character List PW: phoebe. So, instead of haveing to log in and out of accounts to play different characters you can just have them all on one account.

5. Along these lines, for the board to run you have to post. If you don't it dies. If you start a thread, a storyline, or anything else, keep up with it. Don`t wait six weeks between posts. That's why boards fall apart and fail. If you disappear without warning and don't leave a message in the away thread I will try to contact you ONCE, if you do not answer you lost your spot and I'll delete your account. Simple as that. I will also delete the thread of course unless the other person this thread involves would wish me to put it in the archives.

6. No godmoding. This means no posts like "With one sweep of his wand BonBon killed all the rabid bunnies". This doesn't make any sense whatsoever in this setting. If for some reason you are involved in a physical altercation between characters, fight fair. You can`t just block every punch or kick. That would be boring..

7. Keep your characters real. I hate anorexic beautifully wounded people who get saved. I understand we all have troubles and if you can work it in well a little bit of drama is fun, but lets not go over board please? We want real, flawed, tangible characters. We want characters that sometimes you don't understand and other times you hate for their whole personality. This is a reality based RP, I don't care what everyone says happens in the O.C. Mischa Barton needs to eat a sandwich. End of story.

8. No useless posts, AKA Spam. If the post doesn't contribute to the thread, it WILL be deleted, at the discretion of the mods an admin. Do not argue with the Admin or mods about this. If we tell you its spam, its spam. While you can't argue, you are allowed to politely ask why exactly the post was marked. THIS INCLUDES ONE LINERS!!!!!!!!!!.
Cannon Character Applicatiion PW: piper. We are an intermediate RP, if you can't bang out a decent paragraph per post this is not the site for you.

9. Personal hate, grudges, and mudslinging are not to be brought to this board. I will be very unhappy if this turns into a flame war, and offending parties will be deleted without notice and banned. This however does not apply to me. If I feel that you're being a drama queen and trying to start crap with my members, I will get rid of you.

10. This board is meant for mature roleplayers, as such it is rated ’M” and we will deal with adult themes. I won't give the board an over all rating of R/NC-17 as I think that detracts very much from what we're trying to do. However I am now implementing a rule that states all threads that have potential to be higher than say "PG" be so rated in the subject or title line. If a thread suddenly takes a turn down that road go back and edit the first post putting in a new rating. Every post requires a rateing.

11. If you have a problem with: homosexual relationships, possible violence, disturbing real life scenarios (applies to specific character pasts; rape victims, substance abusers and the like. No one is perfect) Then, you should not be here. This board is meant for serious role players with open minds. If the Admin Team here believes you are not mature enough to contribute good storylines to this board, we will delete you. We plan to give constructive criticism to those whose profiles are lacking in detail. If you take this attempt for aid personally, then obviously you aren't willing to broaden your horizons as a writer.

12. I will not check copyrights on models/pictures for characters. While you must have an AV, and you must post in the AV claim when you’ve been accepted, I will not be accepting people from Myspace.com or Deviantart. This is just way too messy. If you’re having trouble finding someone I will be more than happy to help you, I have a whole list of stars/models, both male and female that I won’t ever be able to completely use up.
